Musician, sardanas composer & good friend Lluìs Alcalà, reached out to us to design his first solo EP: Aventures. The CD includes a compilation of all his best sardanas, created from his 20+ years experience. The CD is a rendition to sardanas, a traditional catalan dance/folklore music. Lluìs wanted to take things further up a notch and while creating classical style sardanas, you can perceive in his creations sound modern, epic and represent the evolution of this art in the 21st century. In that matter, Lluìs was clear that he wanted a CD art where his visions and inspirations for «Aventures» were present. He wanted to stay away from the typical graphics associated with sardana art and gave us freedom to create the artwork within the framework of his vision. With our style and taking in mind some of the main songs, we gave life through illustrations to an adventure (Aventures) around the world & history. We travel through glaciers, around deserts, traverse the skies and find treasures amidst the jungle. We stayed away from the usual graphics that represent sardanas in the collective imaginary of the people, while remaining faithful to the core of the traditions of this art: Country, Catalunya (Catalonia), Barcelona, history, sunsets, sea, Mediterranean, union of the people.
